Services

A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system provides air to occupied spaces. Typically, air from within an occupied space, along with fresh air drawn from outdoors, is drawn in through ductwork to an HVAC unit, where it is conditioned. Before the air gets to the unit, it usually passes through a filter designed to protect the mechanical equipment from becoming contaminated by large particles of dust and debris. Many filters commonly used today will not prevent the introduction of small particles of dust and debris from the air stream into the system. In an HVAC system microbial contamination may cause adverse health reactions among occupants.

Cleaning HVAC system may help to reduce the threat of indoor air pollution, comfort complaints by occupants, decrease energy cost, increase worker productivity, etc.

Our company introduces a method for cleaning HVAC systems which is based on the following:

1.    Inspection Tools

1.1  Hand – held mirror (usually on a telescoping handle with light source attached.

1.2  Remote controlled multi purpose robot with camera

1.3  Closed circuit television camera system

With all the above we visually inspect and record the inside of air ducts, in order to evaluate the build up of debris and contamination.

2.    Cleaning Tools

2.1  Remote controlled multi purpose robot with camera and rotary brushes.

2.2   Brushes

2.3   Rotary brushes (pneumatic and electric)

2.4   Scrappers

2.5   Pneumatic tools (air snakes, air skippers, air whips, blow guns)

All the above are utilized to drive debris to the vacuum collection device which is used to create negative pressure within the HVAC system of sufficient velocity to control the spread of contaminants during the cleaning process.

3.    Surface Treatments

3.1  Filter repair products, Anti-Microbial Materials

Anti-Microbial materials are products designed to control microbial contamination.

Renewal of HVAC system filters is always needed after the completion of works

All the above mentioned are registered specifically for use in HVAC systems and are applied after visible contaminants are extracted.

DESCRIPTION OF CLEANING METHOD

a. Using the existing normal openings (diffusers) of the duct work we insert either the robotic device and/or the special for this work tools (Brushes,

Rotary brushes (pneumatic and electric), Scrappers, Pneumatic tools (air snakes, air skippers, air whips, blow guns)), in order to “push” the dust to the opening that the Vacuum Cleaner (which is used to create negative pressure within the HVAC system of sufficient velocity to control the spread of contaminants) is fitted. Having closed the specific duct part from the one side we create a small “box” which can be easily cleaned. Progress and results are monitored (using a remote controlled multi purpose robot with camera and closed circuit television camera system) and can be shown/given to you at any time.

The method our company use provides best results in minimum time required and no removal of any part of HVAC system is needed.

b.     In order the system to perform correctly, the following additional works will take place:

b1. Open all units, clean internally and externally and internal painting

b2. Inspection and cleaning of Fans

b3. Clean of air inlet and outlet and use of disinfectant liquid

b4. Renewal of system filters

b5. In case of request, we can take samples of the air inside the building, analyze them and provide/use the necessary anti-microbial liquids designed to control microbial contamination (all materials used are in accordance with Greek Pharmacy Organization and are the same with the ones used in Hospitals’ Intensive Care).

ISO, materials, liquids and equipments certificates will be provided upon request.
